Receive all merchandise arriving at the hotel and ensure that the merchandise reaches the department it is meant for.
Check that all merchandise is of quality, quantity and price determined by the hotel as per standards required based on the following documents :
policies and procedures
Ensure that the merchandise is of the highest quality and as per the hotel standards and purchase specifications.
Record all merchandise received in the Receiving Report.
Issue “Error/Correction” note for any item rejected or for any discrepancy in the delivery note/invoice.
Keep proper records of merchandise returned to the supplier for poor quality, etc...
Compare all deliveries with market quotation sheet/purchase orders, etc...
Forward all merchandise promptly to the appropriate storeroom or department concerned.
Check that all returns such as beverage containers are properly accounted for.
Keep the receiving area clean and tidy.
Work closely with the Cost Controller and Storekeeper.
Prepare on a monthly basis with the Cost Controller a conciliation of all outstanding purchase orders to forward to Financial Controller.
Balance at month end the total purchases of the month per category with the Accounts Payable.
Keep confidential any financial and other information related to the hotel.
Maintain proper filing of documents and adhere to the record retention as per W Amman policies and procedures.
